WHS Robotics originated in 2002 as an official club of Whitney High School in
Cerritos, California. Whitney High School is home to
academically gifted students throughout the ABC Unified School
District, serving students from grades 7 to 12 and has gained a
reputation as the top school in California and one of the finest in the
nation.

WHS Robotics participates in FIRST:
For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, an
organization founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen and Woodie Flowers to
motivate young people in their schools and communities to reach an
appreciation of science and technology and an understanding that
mastering these can enrich the lives of all.
Currently we have teams with FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), FIRST LEGO League (FLL), and VEX Robotics Competition
(VRC). WHS Robotics students proudly offer outreach programs in
robotics with local elementary schools, community groups, and summer
RoboCamps and graciously partner with community members to learn more
about science and engineering.
