WHS Robotics originated in 2002 as an official club of Whitney High School in Cerritos, California. Whitney High School is home to academically gifted students throughout the ABC Unified School District, serving students from grades 7 to 12 and has gained a reputation as the top school in California and one of the finest in the nation.
Jim Kloman, owner of Brenner-Fiedler & Associates (our corporate sponsor), teaches pneumatics to FRC Team 1135. Thank you, Mr. Kloman and all of our wonderful engineers!
WHS Robotics participates in FIRST: For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, an organization founded in 1989 by Dean Kamen and Woodie Flowers to motivate young people in their schools and communites to reach an appreciation of science and technology and an understanding that mastering these can enrich the lives of all.
Currently we have teams with FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), FIRST LEGO League (FLL), and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). WHS Robotics students proudly offer outreach programs in robotics with local elementary schools, community groups, and summer RoboCamps and graciously partner with community members to learn more about science and engineering.

2008 FLL Team 127 wins the Champions Award!
FLL Team 127, the Whitney Killer Watts, won the CHAMPIONS' AWARD at the Los Angeles FLL Regional and FTC Team 542, WHS Robotics UBOT, won the INSPIRE AWARD at the Los Angeles FTC Regional.
BOTH TEAMS ARE GOING TO THE WORLD FESTIVAL IN GEORGIA!
FIRST LEGO League Team No. 127, the Whitney Killer Watts, won the Champions' Award at the San Gabriel Valley Qualifier! Ian Villa won the Young Mentor's Award! Congratulations to you all!
