What is RoboCamp?WHS Robotics proudly offers RoboCamp as an outreach program for students in our community. We have designed a summer camp that strives to introduce middle and high school students to the world of robotics. Summer camp participants will work on the Whitney campus and will experience a simulated competition. Participants will be able to design and build their own robot and get a feel of what robotics and competing with robots is like. This enables cooperative participation and hands-on learning of robotics and its design, build, and program aspects; mathematical and scientific concepts; and basic teamwork and leadership skills that can be directly applied to the real world. In addition, RoboCamp uses the basis of FIRST values to familiarize students with embracing concepts such as gracious professionalism as they discover more concepts in math, science, and engineering.
How much is RoboCamp? The cost for one camp for one student is $300. Taking a second camp is an additional $250. Bringing a sibling along for one camp is an additional $250.
